Health Benefits And Uses Of Horopito

Horopito Background and Benefits

Horopito (Pseudowintera colorata) is one of the oldest flowering plants on earth and is found only in New Zealand forests. This ancient shrub belongs to the primitive Winteraceae family, which is common in the southern Pacific.
Horopito leaves contain a natural antifungal extract called Polygodial, which effectively kills Candida albicans. It acts like a non-ionic surfactant and kills Candida by damaging its outer membrane. Recent research shows that Polygodial is the most effective antifungal in its class, outperforming other natural antifungals such as garlic, caprylic acid, and oregano oil.

Horopito has an excellent safety record as polygodial-containing plants are traditionally used in New Zealand, Japan, South America, and Africa. There are no documented cases of toxicity from Horopito. However, as a precaution, pregnant women and young children should consult their physician before taking this ingredient.

This clinically proven ingredient has been used around the world for over 20 years. It has undergone extensive research and clinical studies to confirm its effectiveness in relieving Candida symptoms.

Horopito has been compared to the drug Diflucan and is equally effective with fewer bacteriological relapses after one month of treatment (80% relapses with Diflucan versus only 32% with Korolex Horopito).

Use of Horopito

Horopito is primarily used as a natural remedy to combat Candida overgrowth and its symptoms such as yeast infections, fatigue, skin irritation, and unexplained weight gain.

Signs that you may need Horopito

Candida overgrowth is the main sign that you may need Horopito. Symptoms of candida overgrowth include sugar cravings, acne, bloating, constipation, fatigue, mood swings, yeast infections, or persistent fungal infections. If you have experienced candida overgrowth in the past, Horopito is also good for prevention.
